Our Seoul & Sokcho travel video!

Last March, my friends and I traveled to Korea again for the 3rd time together! We didn’t really plan much – we mostly spent our days shopping and roaming around Seoul – but we definitely aimed to visit Sokcho.

It was a 2.5 hour bus ride from Seoul to Sokcho. After arriving, we just walked a bit to a car park where we claimed our rented car for 6 hrs. My friend’s boyfriend drove us to Dongmyeong Port to roam around and eat in the area.

It was a sunny day and I regretted not applying any sunblock. My freckles got darker again. 🙁 Yes, I’m a freckle-faced Filipina, quite unusual I know hahaha (Blame genes, got it from my mom and grandma!). It took us a long time to reach the Red lighthouse at the end of the road because we were fooling around and taking a lot of profile-picture-worthy photos.

There were a few people who are fishing in the area. It was a quiet and tranquil experience, very different from the fast-paced Seoul.

We finally reached the lighthouse! I was informed that there was a k-drama filmed here (not sure if this is the specific lighthouse) and I guess that’s why my friend invited us here. But I can’t relate since I didn’t watch that k-drama.

I love the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks. There’s something about it that’s relaxing.

We went back to the fishing port to visit the “Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion”. It’s so pretty, a traditional pavillion standing at a rock formation near the sea. You get a feeling of exquisiteness.

I’d love to visit (and swim) the beach in Abai Village next time. We didn’t get the chance to go there since we’re slow and our tito and tita bodies are tired. We needed our cup of coffee before heading back to Seoul.
